Our appointment with Rocket Panda Games at Gamescom 2025 for showing Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate, was a great reminder what we were missing already with the base game out for quite a while now.
Now showcasing the new DLC featuring famous streamer Kaho Shibuya, which is a a magical girl with the powers of cuteness and bread, available to use on Co-op and Battlegrounds Mode. Shibuya herself voices the character in both English and Japanese.
The Basegame already is a bunch of fun, with the option to play four player local coop, adding two more to a six player online coop and even two more to a eight player versus mode.

As given the base game is already out now for your purchase. And the DLC will be available pretty soon at 4th September.
You may know the previous installations of Phantom Breaker Battle Grounds from the Xbox 360 era.
But the Ultimate edition is worth every buck. Its chaotic as you would expect, for sure in a good way.

- REMASTERED SOUNDTRACK: Players can choose an all-new soundtrack composed by all-girl J-rock band The Phantom Breakers or the classic versions from the original games.
Story:
- Tokyo―the capital of Japan. A mysterious man named Phantom plots to regain his sealed powers. By giving weaponry known as F.A.s (Fu-mension Artifacts) to the young with special abilities, he lures them into battle with the promise of granting the victor their wish.
- However, unbeknownst to the participants, the violent clashes of F.A.s cause distortions in the fabric of space-time, creating rifts between this world and other parallel worlds rifts that will ultimately compromise the seals binding Phantom’s powers.
- Waka, daughter of the Kumon Family―an ancient clan that has waged war against evils―along with the support of Mikoto, fights to thwart Phantom’s evil plan, but despite their combined might, Phantom manages to escape just in time.
- While fleeing, he kidnaps Waka’s younger sister, Nagi Kumon.
- Itsuki, a maid and self-proclaimed Arbiter of Justice and Yuzuha, a ninja who has resisted Phantom’s temptations, join forces with Waka and Mikoto to pursue Phantom and rescue Nagi.
Gamescom Experience
Our Gamescom Appointment was phenomenal, since we had the chance to get our hands on the new levels, the new char Kaho and meeting her in person. So if we were not fully booked we may would stay there to play trough the whole DLC at once 🙂
