The rebirth of 2D Sidescroll Beat ‘n’ Runs.
After a long period with less of these games, or at least less good games catle crashers started a new hype session.
We are speaking about the Remastered Version of the Game, but this is mostly identically to the old Gen 7 version (360 & Ps4) .
You can play alone (but thats not the spirit), or with up to three friends in local 4 player coop rounds and alos 4 player versus Arena matches.
As a bonus, all players are getting achievements (on Xbox). Also online Coop is possible.
There are different modes available:

- Castle Crashers – Just the Story game mode – Play level after level with a overworld level select. Some kin do of hib and the possibility to upgrade stuff and more

- Arena – The Verus mode of the game

- Barbar – A more tactical board game approach, and added after release
Without that game, we may have missed a lot of look-a-likes and play-a-likes from that genre over the last years,.
Lavalampe
The levels itself are more or less the same, at least from a technical perspective. Fighting your way from left to the right through a mass of enemies. Collecting coins and health and keeping up the fight.
Ending in some boss fights from time to time. And also have some special levels on a boat, or on a shitting rudolph in some kind of escape scene.
With all that and the possiblity to level up your char, switch weapons and more this has a lot mor depth than expected and will be enough game for a whole weekend with your friends
